FAB FIND FRIDAYS: JANUARY 20, 2012!

Hey ya'll! 

Happy Friday!

So here are my picks for the week! 

First up...here is a Wax Stick I've been using these past couple of weeks to lay my edges down. It's the Kera Care Wax Stick. I'm not the biggest fan of Wax sticks but because I've got a lot of new growth and I ran out of my styling gel, this was within arm's length. So far, it's done the trick this week! 

Here's another item I literally use every single day! I've been getting a lot of questions asked about what kind of Hot Rollers I use for my hair so here they are! They are the Conair Instant Heat Volume Rollers. They are GREAT!!!! This particular one is the smaller version of the many options of rollers in this line...I also got it from Target. :)  

Next up...I just started re-using this particular product from ELF. It's the ELF "Lip Lock Pencil". I've always loved this product but I had forgotten about it for a bit...it prevents your lipstick/lipgloss from running past your lip-line. Not only is it great, but its CHEAP too! You can find it at Target. :)

Lastly...Lorac "Take a Brow" kit. I've just recently started using this product this week and so far I'm loving it! I've been trying to practice filling in my eyebrows a bit more so this has been a great beginner kit for me! I got it at Sephora.

FAB FIND FRIDAYS: JANUARY 15, 2012 (Yeah, it's a little late but I have a GOOD EXCUSE!)

What's up ya'll! It's FAB FIND FRIDAY! (Er...Satur...eh...SUNDAY! LOL!) I'm sorry this is a couple days late but my mom had surgery this week and the weather got bad in the Lou so my days were all messed up due to some longer hours at the station this week! 

Ok, no more excuses! Here are my FAB FINDS for the week! 


This week was pretty low-key for me on the "socializing" tip...I just relaxed for the most part but I did use a few new products this week that I am LOVING so far! 


My 1st product is friggin' AMAZE-BALLS so far! It's the No7 "Moisture Quench" Day Cream! (You already know I love the night cream by the same brand so I had to try a few more products!) It's feels GREAT and a little goes a long way! I got it at Target! It makes my skin feel so good! (And its GREAT for those with dry skin!) Check into it ya'll! :)

This next item is a lipstick I've worn a lot this week! It's one of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in the color "Raisin Rage". It's gorgeous on! (My camera isn't doing it justice!)

Another item that worked surprisingly well for me this week was L'Oreal's "True Match" Super Blendable Powder. It doesn't have the longest lasting power but I only needed it to work for a couple hours for work and it did the trick. :) The color I used is "Capuccino".

As many of ya'll know I don't normally wear makeup so as soon as I get home from the "gig" I take my makeup right off! Something I used a lot this week to take off my eye makeup is Pond's Cold Cream. It took me a sec to get used to the consistency but it does do the trick. It's really moisturizing too! :) I got it from Target as well.

I also exfoliated my face a couple times this week so I wanted to share one of the products I love! It's Aveeno's Skin Brightenig Daily Scrub. It's a great product that's great for sensitive skins like mine! I usually exfoliate a couple times a week when I don't have time to use my Clarisonic brush.

Okay, the last one is random but I'm OBSESSED with it! I'm a HUGE blue-tooth user and I had recently lost my last one so I just picked up another one and I LOVE IT! I'm pretty simple when it comes to technology but this bad boy is the LICK! Number 1, I didn't want an expensive one in case I lost it again...I wanted something simple that would allow me to drive "hands free". I ended up getting this one which cost me $39. (Shout out the Will at the phone store! He was so patient answering all my questions and even got my blue-tooth set up on my phone before I left the store! I love meeting nice people!) Anywho, that was the best investment ever! It not only works great but it tells you when the battery is high or low and when the gadget is turned on or off! It's GREAT! It's called the "Plantronics M20 Bluetooth Headset".

FAB FIND FRIDAYS: MY 1ST EDITION! YAY! :)

Hey guys! 


Welcome to my very 1ST EDITION of "FAB FIND FRIDAYS" where I will be doing a WEEKLY blog post showcasing some of the items, sales, and other fun things that I enjoy or run across throughout the week! 

Here it goes! 


First of all...check out my NOTW ("NAILS OF THE WEEK")...I am LOVING this combo! 


It's Essie's "Eternal Optimist" and Milani's "Disco Lights". (Which by the way is a GREAT dupe and cheaper alternative to Essie's "A Cut Above".)

Another one of my absolute FAVORITE things this week has been my pleatha' jacket! The weather's been a bit warmer in St. Louis this past week so I've been finding myself rocking out this beautiful jacket I purchased from Arden B!

Another thing I've been rockin' the HECK out of this past week has been this amazing purse I got from Urban Outfitters. It's such an amazing pop of color using a neutral tone and it goes perfect with almost anything! :)

Here's another fun find that I've been rockin' the heck out of this week! Next time you're in Forever 21 try out their fragrances! You will LOVE them! My FAV is the "GOLD" but I have both the Gold and Pink! I wear these all the time! (And they're cheap too!) :)

Check out this GORGEOUS purse from Baker's ya'll! I recently rocked it this past weekend! Unfortunately, I didn't shoot the outfit I wore out that night but TRUST I was turnin' heads with this purse in my hand! (I promise...I will definitely shoot an OOTN with this purse in the future so you guys can see how I rock it!) :)

NELLY'S BLACK & WHITE BALL: PHOTOS & VIDEO! :)

Hey guys! 

Just wanted to share some pics from Nelly's Black & White Ball held at the Chase Park Plaza! :)

I wanted to avoid going to the stores to find something to wear that I know someone else might be rocking so I had a gorgeous gown created for this year's ball! I've always been inspired by the sex appeal and grace of Marilyn Monroe so I had my gown created based on her look. I even took it several steps further by selecting a gorgeous hairstyle and jewels to create my entire look! Don't be afraid of creating your own look and designing your own pieces! I plan on doing more of that in the upcoming months!
